Oil-Free Vegan Tip: Silicone Baking Mats
Oil-Free Cooking made Easy
Tired of spending money on parchment paper? Having difficulty with your food sticking to your pans? Silicone baking mats are one of my favorite oil-free cooking tools. Traditionally, silicone baking mats were used for baking cookies and other baked goods. These mats work perfectly for potato chips, roasting vegetables, veggie burgers, or anything you want to bake.
Silicone mats are easy to use and clean. They require no spray or oil, and they come in a variety of sizes to meet the needs of multiple sized baking pans. They reduce instances of burning and browning as well.
Parchment paper costs approximately $10.00 for a roll. Silicone Baking Mats cost a few dollars more, but they outlast parchment paper. Silicone mats can be reused by simply washing with warm water and dish soap, while parchment paper must be thrown ways.
